Sue Sutcliffe and Betty Penny
June 11, 2003 –Bowmanville – For the first time ever, on June 11, 2003, the Durham Home & Small Business Association (DH&SBA) presented the Betty Penny Award. The honoured recipient was Sue Sutcliffe. The DH&SBA noted that Sue Sutcliffe and her team had moved to the next level of criteria for their usual business of the year award and created the Betty Penny Award to honour them. The award (named after the founder of the DH&SBA) was presented in recognition of their outstanding leadership, contribution and success in the community and business.
A member of the DH&SBA since 1995, Sue Sutcliffe was honoured with the Business of the Year Award in 1997 and has continued to build and expand a thriving web design, hosting and promotion business.
Ms. Sutcliffe contributes the success of her company to a long list of people (all of who can be found on their website), including her team and clients, to name a few. “Our clients have been loyal and enjoyable to work with,” says Ms. Sutcliffe. She is also grateful to Betty Penny and all who have put up with her crazy ideas and even crazier hours and impulsiveness.
